I bought this camera after seeing one of my buddies take his to Nopeming Sanitarium and thinking it was the coolest fucking thing ever. Standing on the roof of TCAAP in 2024 I looked on eBay and bought this FD-73 for $25. Since then it bacame one of my absolute favorite cameras due to its dead simple nature. Point, Shoot, Done. I ran this camera for many of my urbexcapades from Series III to Series V. It's easy to understand and use while still providing a very fun and tactile feel in the hands. Some shots might require a bit of dicking around but I've always been happy with the photos that have come out of this camera. Even despite it's pains like slow floppies, lugging disks, and limited settings, I find that to be all part of the fun of using old cameras like this.
